Hyderabad: Alleging that the TRS government was involved in corruption on a large scale, BJP national executive member Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Thursday said that he would prove the charge at any place as desired by the Chief Minister.

Addressing a press conference here with BJP leaders S Kumar, Sudhakar Sharma and others Nagam Janardhan Reddy alleged that the Irrigation projects were being designed to benefit the contractors.

Janardhan Reddy said that the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation project was for irrigation needs but the State government gave affidavit in the court that this was a drinking water project.

This is the biggest evidence of how contractors were benefitted by the government, he alleged. The courts had asked the government to take this project only as a drinking water project and not as an irrigation project, he added.

The BJP leader demanded the Chief Minister and also the Irrigation Minister to come for an open discussion on the projects and said he would prove the corruption in the projects.

He alleged that the contractors were preparing estimates of the project. He said that he would submit the proofs to the investigation agencies of the State and Centre. He refuted the allegations that he had approached National Green Tribunal against the project.

He lashed onto the Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao stating that he had never seen a greedy person like the former.

“He joins the party which is in power and involves in corruption. I will prove the corruption with full documentary evidence,” said Janardhan Reddy.
