Guntur: YSRCP president and Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Y S Jaganmohan Reddy called upon the youth to carry forward the movement for special status and teach a lesson to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who compromised with Centre for gaining a political mileage on SCS.

Addressing the “Yuva Bheri” meeting held at Guntur on Thursday, Jagan described the SCS has the potential to transform Andhra Pradesh overnight. He said if SCS is given, State would be entailed for jobs and income generating opportunities to the locals and spur State's growth.

He said the Centre and State governments will complete 3-years in rule by July next, he said after that the YSRCP will submit their resignations to mount pressure on the Centre for Special Category Status.

He reminded the assurances given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in public meeting and the video of the same was screened. Similarly, how Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu changed his stand on SCS to cheat the people videos screened on the screen.

Y S Jagan said we had seen rail rokos and bus rokos but the CM began aeroplane roko to stop him from the attending the rally to be held at Vizag beach.

He said that no one would invest in AP just by looking at N Chandrababu, he said the investment summits organised in AP are proof enough of this.

He rubbished Naidu claim’s on investment of over Rs 10 lakh crore through MoUs with entrepreneurs were misleading. He said, of Rs 4.67 crore worth of MoUs claimed in 2016, only Rs 2.87 crore entered the Investment Entrepreneur Memorandum. He reminded that in 2014, 21,556 IEMs were entered into and of them only Rs. 2,804 crore were implemented.

YSRC chief reiterated that all YSRCP MPs would resign during the next session of Parliament and would go to the people on the issue.

He said when some students complained that the government is not sanctioning fee reimbursement to all the beneficiaries, he assured that if YSRCP comes to power, it will sanction fees reimbursement to all the eligible.

YSRCP leaders Atukuri Anjaneyulu, L Rattaiah, were among those participated in the meeting.
