Beautification works gather pace ahead of State fete

Sircilla: With the State Formation Day around the corner, the beautification works in the Sircilla town are taking place on war-footing. The district administration has released special funds for the works.While the circles at crossroads at Nethanna centre, Ambedkar centre and Mahatma Gandhi statute centres are designed, the district administration has also decided to widen the roads after identifying the traffic bottlenecks.

As part of it, the widening of roads which lead to Kamareddy and Siddipet from Sircilla town is going on at quicker pace. Beautification works such as demolishing of structures that are obstructing road-widening works, planting of saplings along with laying grass in all major centres present in the city are going on at a brisk pace with the help of Municipal staff. District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar, who received the orders and guidelines from IT Minister KT Rama Rao, is taking special interest in beautification of the town.

After inspecting the works taking place at Kargil Lake and Ambedkar Junction, the Collector ordered officials to speed up works of Ambedkar Junction by demolishing illegal constructions along with widening roads for clearing traffic problems. “If the officials face any objections during demolition of buildings or any structures, pay compensation to the owners of those buildings and complete the works,” informed the Collector.
