Flood hit areas in Sri Lanka declared high security zones: Sirisena

Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has declared all floods and landslide affected areas as \'High Security Zones\' and instructed the newly-established special Environmental Relief Task Force officials to mark those areas accordingly.
Colombo : Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has declared all floods and landslide affected areas as 'High Security Zones' and instructed the newly-established special Environmental Relief Task Force officials to mark those areas accordingly.
He also instructed to prohibit Land reclamation in Colombo district with immediate effect and ordered the officials to be on the lookout for encroachment of land in the area, reports the Colombo Page.
The special Environmental Relief Task Force was formed today by the President to restore suitable living conditions for the affected people and the environment damaged by the recent landslides and floods.
