A Bangladesh passenger aircraft carrying 67 passengers has reportedly crashed at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu today. Initial reports suggest that the aircraft from the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka ’became unstable’ while landing and crashed.

Pictures show thick smoke billowing from within the airport area.

So far, 17 people on board had been rescued.

An airport official said that the state of the other people on the flight was not clear yet. He further stated that the fire is being brought under control. More details are awaited.
