The Collector on Thursday chaired the Coordination Committee Meeting with officials to discuss the steps to be taken for conducting intermediate practical and theory examinations successfully in the district.

Speaking in the meeting, the Collector ordered the officials to take all necessary steps for conducting inter practical examinations for second year students from February 3 to 22 and theory examinations for both first and second Year students from March 1 to 18.

“About 16,509 students are going to appear for the exams in 61 various centres across the district. Of them, 13,324 are general students and 3,185 pursuing technical courses for which about 55 officials from the education department had been deployed for conducting the examinations in a peaceful environment,” said the Collector.

“Necessary steps must be taken for arranging transport facility for students to reach the examination centre in time along with imposing Section 144 near the examination centres to prevent any untoward incidents.

A temporary primary health centre for emergency, toilets and safe drinking water facility must be arranged for the students,” ordered the Collector.

Intermediate Educational Officer Androse, City Municipal Commissioner B Srinivas, Chief Planning Officer of Zilla Parishad Marapaka Nagesh, Deputy Superintendent of Police Suresh Kumar, Assistant Divisional Engineer of Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) Murali Krishna, RTC Divisional Manager Ram Murthy, District Controller of the Examination Committee members Ravi Babu, V Srinivas, Manager of the Khammam Municipal Corporation Raja Rao, High Power Committee member S Venkateshwar Rao and the Postal Inspector Madhusudhan Rao were present along with others.
