Farmers’ cooperation sought for Sripada Yellampally project completion

Jagtial: Construction of various projects could be completed at the earliest if only the farmers cooperate with the government, said District Collector Dr A Sharath.

 He discussed about land acquisition for completing the canal works under Sripada Yellampalli Project with district officials at a meeting at the Collectorate conference hall here on Wednesday.

Speaking at the meeting, he urged the farmers not to create hurdles in giving their lands for completing the canal works of the Project for the welfare the farming community.

He assured the farmers that the government will give compensation to those farmers who lose their lands under canal construction works of the Project.

The officials were ordered to complete pump house works of Maisamma Lake of Kodimyal mandal on war-footing along with Potharam project works, which are in pending.

 Joint Collector Dr Nagendar, Executive Engineers of SRSP and SYP projects and other officials were present in the meeting.
