They said that Mirchi farmers were committing suicides as government failed to announce minimum support price for their produce. The leaders asked the government to ensure Rs 15,000 MSP for Mirchi crop.
Mandal president Pasupuleti Rammohan Rao presided over the meeting, while Shilam Venkata Narsi Reddy, Yedunuri Sitha Ramulu,Podhila Harinath,Veeraiah Chowdary,Bolla Gangaram and Hanumantha Rao attended the meeting.
