Hyderabad: Establishment of a medical college in Nalgonda district is under active consideration of the State government, said Minister for Health C Laxma Reddy in the Assembly on Friday.
The Minister said this while replying to Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, who reminded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had made an assurance to start a medical college.
Laxma Reddy further informed that the government was taking all measures to upgrade present hospital in Nalgonda by allotting Rs 27 crore for bettering its infrastructure and services.
He informed that the bed capacity would be enhanced besides establishment of ICU and Dialysis centre.
