Bhongir Collector calls for soil, water tests
District Collector Anita Ramachandran directed the officials concerned to collect the soil and water samples at Dothigudem and other places in the district where chemical industries were established in large numbers.

Bhongir: District Collector Anita Ramachandran directed the officials concerned to collect the soil and water samples at Dothigudem and other places in the district where chemical industries were established in large numbers.
On Monday, she chaired a meeting of the Pollution Control Board (PCB). Speaking at the meeting, Ramachandran suggested members of the PCB to collect soil and water samples at Choutuppal and Dothigudem and send it to lab for tests.
Based on the report, necessary action should be taken as per the law, she said. Citing more complaints from people of in and around Dothigudem, the Collector advised officials to pay special attention to address the issues at the earliest.
Frequent visits to industries, soil and water sample collections followed by tests was the only way to control the pollution from industries, she added.
