District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu made it clear that voter Identity cards would be linked to Aadhaar cards in order to maintain transparency.

Kothagudem: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu made it clear that voter Identity cards would be linked to Aadhaar cards in order to maintain transparency.
In this connection, he held a meeting with various representatives of political parties on voter enrolment and setting up polling booths, at the Collectorate here on Thursday. Hanumanthu asked the parties to appoint booth-level agents and to submit the list to District Election Officer by April 15. He said the agent should be a voter of the respective booth.
“Action will be taken against those responsible for deletion of names of voters. Relevant documents must be secured from Tahsildar concerned if the voters wish to shift booths. New polling booths will be opened if there are more than 250 voters,” he added.
ZPTC member Paramjyothi Rao, District Election Officer Nayab, Tahsildar T V Suresh and representatives of various political parties attended the meeting.
