District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and Superintendent of Police Amber Kishore Jha participated in the Haritha Haram programme at Chinchupally Government High school on Thursday.  They planted the saplings on the school’s premises and explained the importance of plants in maintaining ecosystems and sustenance of lives on the earth. 

Kothagudem: District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu and Superintendent of Police Amber Kishore Jha participated in the Haritha Haram programme at Chinchupally Government High school on Thursday. They planted the saplings on the school’s premises and explained the importance of plants in maintaining ecosystems and sustenance of lives on the earth.

They told the teachers and students to guard the plants and protect them by regularly watering them. DRDA Project Director P Jagath Kumar Reddy, MPDO Manohar Reddy, MEO Venkat Ramana, Head Mistress Madhura Vani participated in the programme.

In Kadem: Khanapur Circle Inspector Azmeera Peddanna Kumar called upon students to plant saplings and protect them. As part of Haritha Haram programme, he planted saplings on the premises of Ambaripet Zilla Parshid School along with students, school staff, police and people’s representatives on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he advised students to water the plants regularly and protect them from cattle. Later, students were given various fruit saplings and were asked to plant them on their house premises.
