According to kin of the woman, the victim, Kavitha, a native of Namapuram of PA Pally mandal, was brought to the Devarakonda government hospital for delivery on Thursday night.
As the duty doctor was not available, nurses on duty carried out the delivery. During the process, one of the twins breathed his last.
Expressing anguish over negligence of the nurses, husband of the victim woman along with his relatives on Friday staged a protest in front of the hospital and demanded stringent action against the nurses.
