District Collector Surendra Mohan has directed the officials concerned to pay special attention on the villages adopted by Minister Jagadeesh Reddy to make them as role models to other villages in the district.

He conducted a special meeting with the officials and people’s representatives of the villages adopted by the Minister - Pillalamarri of Suryapet mandal, Apuru of Atmakur (S) mandal, Chedela of Penpahad mandal and Chivemla of Chivemla mandal - at the Collectorate here on Tuesday.
He ordered the officials to identify poor people without own houses and to check for government lands available.
He also told them to complete construction of the sanctioned graveyards, issue food security cards to all, whose annual income is less than Rs 1.50 lakh and sanction pensions to all the eligible.
The Collector also ordered the officials to complete the construction of the pending CC roads, provide drinking water and improve facilities in government schools.
He told the teachers to do their duties properly to get good results in SSC examinations, otherwise he warned that they would be transferred to remote areas as punishment.
CPO Subbarao, DPO Rammohan Rao, DCO Laxmi Narayana and others participated in the meeting.
