Mahbubnagar: As part of its expansion of banking services, the Andhra Bank, Mahabubnagar branch has opened a new ATM at Mahalaxmi Towers in Marlu in the district.

Inaugurating the new ATM, K Ranganath, General Manager, Telangana Circle said, Andhra Bank was ever evolving and taking its banking services into the rural areas. As part of its expansion, so far the bank has opened 3,000 branches and 2,500 ATMs in 26 States and 3 Union Territories across India.

He informed that In Telangana, the bank was doing an annual business of 64,000 crore across 600 branches in all the 31 districts. Among them, 330 branches were located in rural areas and smaller towns.

In Mahabubnagar itself, there were 80 branches and 102 ATMs in different parts of the district.

Overall, the bank has an annual business turnover of Rs 5,052 crore in the district. C Dhanraj, Zonal Manager, Andhra Bank, SNS Reddy and Alladi Picchaiah, Assistant general managers, Samuel, Parandhamulu and Harinath, Chief Managers and others took part in the inaugural programme.
