Huzurnagar: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had taken the decision of constituting Farmer Coordination Committees to change the lives of farmers by helping them fix the price for their farm produce.

On Tuesday, the Minister along with District Collector Surendra Mohan and MP Gutha Sukender Reddy attended as chief guest to the awareness workshop on Farmer Coordination Committees at Huzurnagar in Suryapet district.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister said opposition parties were saying no to formation of Farmer Coordination Committees without understanding their aim and the benefits they would provide to the farmers.

He informed that Telangana was the first state to extend Rs 4,000 per acre per season to meet the expenditure of seeds and fertilisers.

Stating that opposition parties were creating hurdles in the way of State’s development, he informed that people would teach them a befitting lesson in next general elections.

Later, the Minister and the MP attended an awareness workshop on farmer panels held at Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district.
