Aam Aadmi Party leader attacked in Nalgonda

Nalgonda: Rivals attacked Aam Aadmi leader Purshotham Reddy on Friday in Utkur of Shaligouraram mandal in the district.

According to locals and the police, Boddu Kankaiah, Vemula John, Silleti Sagar, Vemula Pavan, Kiran and Maheshwaram China Venkanna of same village attacked Purshotham Reddy when he was going to his agriculture fields.

He was critically injured in the attack and was shifted to Nalgonda district hospital for better treatment. It is learnt that Purshotham Reddy and Silleti Sagar have land disputes.

Meanwhile, Reddy alleged that in retaliation to his postings on social media sites, MLA Veeresham has directed his followers to attack him. Shaligouraram police registered a case and took up the investigation.
