Mahabubnagar: The SVS Medical College and Hospital is planning to organise ‘Operative Arthroplasty Workshop-2017’ for two days from December 9 to 10 at SVS Auditorium in the district. Organised by Department of Orthopaedics, the workshop essentially deals with all aspects of Knee and Hip replacement through live surgeries by eminent National faculty along with their expertise best practices in dealing with all types of cases needing joint replacements from selection to operation and post surgery rehabilitation process.

The workshop is being organised with depuy synthes under the ages of Telangana Orthopaedic Surgeons association, Orthopaedic Association of South Indian States (OASIS) and Twin cities Orthopaedic Association (TCOS), Hyderabad. According to the organisers, the workshop is being conducted by course director Dr KJ Reddy along with Senior Eminent national faculty in Orthopaedics. “We are inviting leading Orthopaedic surgeons from across the country to take part in this two day works shop and exhibit their expertise to our students,” said Dr KJ Reddy, MD, SVS Medical College.

Eminent doctors and orthopaedic experts who are expected to take part in the workshop include Dr C Vijay Bose, Joint Director, AJRI, SRM University, Dr Raj Kumar Natesan, Ganga Hospital, Dr CS Yadhava, AIIMS Delhi, Dr RH Goverdhan, from Vasanthi Orthopaedic Hospital in Chennai.

Dr Pradeep Poonose, CMC Vellore and Dr Krishna Kiran from Maxcure Hospital Hyderabad will be among the prominent orthopaedic experts who will be taking part in the two-day workshop. Over the entire two-day workshop is expected to witness over 50 faculty members and 250 delegates who will include young orthopaedic surgeons and post graduates from both Telangana and AP.
