MRPS stages dharna, seeks SC categorisation
The representatives of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) demanding to keep the promise of SC categorization by the Centre, staged a dharna before the BJP party district office in Nalgonda on Friday.
Nalgonda: The representatives of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) demanding to keep the promise of SC categorization by the Centre, staged a dharna before the BJP party district office in Nalgonda on Friday.
Addressing the gathering, MRPS district leader Bakaram Srinu stated BJP promised of doing justice to SCs by taking up categorization with in 100 of its coming to power. But even after three-and-a-half years rule, they could not keep the promise. The agitating leaders demanded the Central government to pass the bill during the ongoing Parliament session.
They further slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for repeated arrest of their leader Manda Krishna Madiga and demanded for his release. Later, they submitted a memorandum to BJP district president Nukala Narasimha Reddy and demanded to write a letter to party national leader Amit Shah to remind him of the promise.
