Four ZP High School students excel in elocution, essay-writing

Mahbubnagar: A batch of four girls from Zilla Parishad High School Marikal have excelled in the district-level elocution and essay writing competition held recently by the school administration and bagged appreciation certificates from District Collector, MLA and Joint Collector.
The ZPHS Marikal girls school has about 400 girl students studying in English medium. Most of theme came from poor families. However, overcoming all the hurdles, the four girls, Rajeshwari from 9th class, Bhavani and Suraja both from 10th Class and Shushmita from 8th class, are the batch of four girls from the ZPHS girls school got the prizes.
With the exemplary oratory skills of Rajeshwri during the district-level elocution competition on the topic of ‘Consumer Rights and their protection’ the 9th standard girl had won accolades by Joint Collector Shiva Kumar Naidu and was presented application certificate for her performance.
Similarly, Bhavani, another girl from 10th class also excelled in essay writing competition on the topic of ‘Conservation of fuels and protection of environment’. She too had won certificate from District Collector Ronald Rose and MLA Srinivas Goud.
Supraja, again from 10th class has excelled in a different field of arts like singing and classical dance. She had won the first prize in group singing.
Sushmita, an 8th class girl from ZPHS Marikal girls also had excelled as an excellent orator and won prices for her speech on consumer rights and their protection from the district officials.
All these girls proved that even though they are from a government school they proved that they are on a par with their counterparts in private and top schools and proved that they are also equally good at their skills and can won prizes if given proper push and support. “Every student has hidden talents.
It is only the encouragement and support by the teachers and parents that help them to bring it out. It gives more confidence and self-esteem for them to achieve many more tougher goals in life,” said Balalingahiah, Senior Teacher of ZPHS, who has been an inspiration to the students in the school.
