Gadwal APMs pulled up for not achieving SHGs loan target

Giving a clear direction on the loan target to be achieved by Assistant Project Managers (APMs) for the financial year 2018-19, District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini had instructed all APMs of Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) to achieve loan targets of 120 per cent through bank linkages and Sri Nidhi for Self Help Groups for the current academic year in the district. 

Gadwal: Giving a clear direction on the loan target to be achieved by Assistant Project Managers (APMs) for the financial year 2018-19, District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini had instructed all APMs of Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty (SERP) to achieve loan targets of 120 per cent through bank linkages and Sri Nidhi for Self Help Groups for the current academic year in the district.

While conducting a review meeting with the project Director of District Rural Development Authority (DRDA) and SERP officials on the loan target achievements, the Collector sought the achievement reports of every APM and cluster coordinators at mandal level. The Collector asked sought to know reasons for achieving the targets and warned the APMs and cluster coordinators that strict action would be taken against erring officials.

“We have directed the APMs and cluster coordinators to work hard to achieve the set loan targets for the SHGs in the district. If they have any problems with the banks they are free to discuss and bring it to the notice of LDM,” said the Collector.

The APMs and cluster coordinators were also told to complete all the pending documentation works and submit them to the banks. The Collector also stressed the need for establishing new Self Help Groups with new women members and directed the SERP officials accordingly.
