Training programme on PMFBY held in Bhongir
District Collector Anita Ramachandran directed the officials concerned to create awareness among farmers on Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojana (PMFBY) to avail benefits for loss of crops to natural calamities.

On Wednesday, she attended as chief guest to the PMFBY scheme training programme organised by District Chief Planning Office to agriculture officials, their staff and Assistant Statistical Officers over the process of estimation of crop loss in present Rabi season, held at Mandal Parishad Development Office in Bhongir.
Addressing the officials, the Collector advised them educate farmers about PMFBY as the farmers were incurring losses due to drought, untimely rains and floods.
Complete the geotagging and take photos of crops while harvesting and send them to Central government for necessary action, she added.
The Collector further suggested the officials to take utmost care while filling the details of farmers to benefit them under the scheme.
