Miryalguda: Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader K Jana Reddy here on Monday called upon party leaders and activists to strive for realising ideals former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed his life.
The CLP leader, after paying floral tributes to the portrait of Rajiv Gandhi here, said Rajiv Gandhi had introduced information technology in the country. Throughout his life, the former Prime Minister had strived for all-round development of the country, especially the weaker sections.
Stating that Rajiv Gandhi had endeavoured to ensure development of neglected sections of people. He was a great visionary.
Jana Reddy inaugurated a blood donation camp to mark the death anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi. The party leaders and activists distributed fruits to the poor.
Party leaders Shankar Niak, P Ramalingaiah, Ch Krishnaiah, Skylab Naik, party women wing district president Dhanalaxmi, P Srinivas, GVenugopal Reddy, Kodirekka Showri and a large number of party workers participated in the programme.
