Burglars on theft spree in Jadcherla mandal

Mahbubnagar: There were a spree of thefts in the district on Tuesday. In the first case, the burglars broken into a house at Venkateswara colony and late into a shop at Rangarao Tota in Jadcherla mandal and decamped with valuables.

According to the police, in the first instance, the burglars broken into the house of Krishna Kumar in Venkateswara colony and took away 90 grams of gold, 2 silver plates and 13 silk saris. The burglars committed the theft when inmates were away by breaking open the lock.

In another incident, a shop was also burgled in Rangarao Tota colony. The miscreants decamped with Rs 40,000 cash. Based on complaints, the Jadcherla police have registered the cases and investigating the matter.

Local people accused the police of failing to providing security though burglars were targeting the Venkateswara colony time and again. This would help us increase our vigil in those areas,” said Jadcherla Circle inspector Balaraju.
