According to police, a mentally unstable person was walking on a road and shouting. Suspecting him as a thief, the villagers beaten him up. After getting the information, the police rushed to the spot and took the man into custody.
After enquiry, the police stated that the person was mentally unstable. Burgumphad Sub Inspector of police told the villagers not to believe rumours on social media.
