Officials asked to expedite Rythu Bandhu Scheme in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Every Tahsildar would visit villages and make corrections in the Pattadar passbooks wherever there was a wrong entry, said District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu here on Friday. A review meeting was held at the District Rural Development Agency office Meeting Hall with all Tahsildars and Agricultural Officers.

He expressed dissatisfaction over not distributing the passbooks and cheques hundred percent even in a single village in the district. He said Rs 125.48 crore had been sanctioned for distributing among 1,07,694 farmers in around 359 villages in the district under the Rythu Bandhu programme.

He said 75,874 farmers had received cheques worth Rs 88.41 crore in the district. He said an additional Rs 37.07 crore had to be distributed in the district among 31,820 farmers. He directed Tahsildars, IKP officials and Agriculture staff to go to the field and verify the passbooks. The Collector wanted the officials to expedite the distribution of cheques and passbooks and to complete the works before June 20.

In the meeting, he reviewed the progress of the scheme and questioned all Tahsildars for not carrying out the prgramme fully. DRO Kiran Kumar, ITDA Project Officer Pamela Sathpathy and RDO Ravindernath and District Lead Bank Manager Pulla Rao attended the meeting.
