Police conduct cordon and search operation
The Police on Monday conducted cordon and search operations at Annepuwada, Gandhinagar under Mothkur mandal in the district in early hours.
Mothkur : The Police on Monday conducted cordon and search operations at Annepuwada, Gandhinagar under Mothkur mandal in the district in early hours. Speaking to media, Crime Deputy Commissioner of Police Nagaraju said the police carried out cordon and search operations in two colonies and seized 39 bikes, three auto-rickshaws, two four-wheelers, two gas cylinders as there were no valid papers for them.
Police seized Rs 30,000 worth liquor from belt shops which belonged to Burra Stayanaryana, the DCP said. The old offenders, Yakaiah and Chrumrthy Naresh, are absconding.
He advised the people not to believe the rumours and not to take law into their hands. He appealed the people of Mothkur to pass on information about the any illegal activity taking place in their colonies and also about the suspicious persons to make Bhongir-Yadadri a crime-free district
During the searching operations, police searched houses in the colonies and verified the details of the persons staying in them.
