Khammam: The constables attached to court work are playing an important role, said Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal here on Tuesday. The Police Commissioner was attending as a chief guest at the coaching camp held for constables attached to court work.

Speaking on the occasion, Tafseer Iqbal said the constables would play a vital role in ensuring the criminals are punished. Families of the victims would feel vindicated when the criminals were punished, he said.

As per the orders issued by the Director General of Police, iPads and Tablets were distributed to the constables. They should utilise the devices in a proper way along with taking necessary steps for issuing warrants and summons immediately to the criminals, the police commissioner said.

The constables should give up-to-date information about the cases to the Station House officers. They should enter the details of warrants, summons, case trials and the case through Court Monitoring System along with linking it with TS-Cop website, he said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police K Suresh Kumar, Khammam Town Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkatrao, CCRB Assistant Commissioner of Police Ramanujam, Deputy Director of Prosecution Rama Rao, Circle Inspectors Shivasambi Reddy, Suresh, Sub-inspector Jhony Pasha and Reserve Sub-inspector Meera were present at the programme.
