Nalgonda: Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy here on Thursday stressed the need for providing training to job aspirants, particularly from rural areas. The unemployed from the rural background cannot face the competition because of lack of awareness.

Launching a free training programme for job aspirants in police department, the Minister advised the youth to utilise the free coaching to face the competition. Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath, also took part in the programme.

Jagadish Reddy said the youth should not remain satisfied with getting a job. The youth should serve the people, he said. Ranganath said a total of 3,000 candidates appeared for both physical and written screening tests.

After filtration, as many as 500 candidates were selected for free training programme. He said a total of 870 youth took free coaching offered by the department and as many as 162 got jobs in police recruitment test last year, he said.

District Collector Gaurav Uppal, TSFDC Chairman Banda Narender Reddy, ASP Padmanabha Reddy, DSPs Sudhakar, Ravikumar , Srinivas and TRS Nalgonda Assembly constituency incharge Bhupal Reddy and others participated.
