The route from Miyapur to Nagole which is stretched at 30 km will be operational immediately after inauguration.

Some minor works related to passenger facilities are still to be wrapped up at other metro stations, nevertheless, the services will be available to the public.

No possibility of Metro Rail in old city

Criticising the move of canceling the metro project in the old city, leader of opposition in Telangana Legislative Council, Mohammed Ali Shabbir said that several businessmen and youth would have benefitted from it if the metro project been implemented in the old city.

Referring to MIM proposing the change in metro rail plan, he said that the so-called Muslim leadership influenced the government for personal gains ignoring public interest.
