Pressure bomb defused in Telangana

A pressure bomb planted by suspected Maoists was defused in Vijayapuri Colony of Venkatapur Mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally mandal on Tuesday.
The police informed that they found a poster surrounded by stones and mud.
Suspecting it to be a bomb, the police called in CRPF 141 Battalion and district bomb squad who found the bomb and defused it.
Every year the banned CPI (Maoist) observe its annual People's Liberation Guerrilla Army (PLGA) week from December 2-7 where they put up posters in the bordering areas, landmines and pressure bombs prompting the police to take precautions.
Police have sounded a high alert in the areas where the Maoists are frequent.
