Kurnool: Following the Hyderabad High Court's directive to the Andhra Pradesh government on excavation works Chennampalli Fort, the officials of the Mining department continue to dig for the treasure trove in Kurnool district.

The High Court has asked the Andhra Pradesh government to respond over the digging works while reviewing a PIL.

The High Court also pulled up the government as which law had permitted it to take up the excavation.

During the excavation, the officials found a lamp made of mud, iron rod (trisul), bones, horse's jaw, rocks. The officials are hoping to dig 12 feet further down to exhume treasure. The digging works are being reviewed by officials amidst CCTV cameras.
