Man rapes woman as a revenge for rejecting his proposal
A 31-year-old man from Hyderabad has been arrested for raping and blackmailing a 25-year-old woman for rejecting his love. Confessing to the police, the man, Reddypogu Ravi said that he was ‘depressed’ after the victim rejected his love in Class X and decided to teach her a lesson after coming to know her address recently.

Both belonged to the same village in Manavapadu mandal of Mahabubnagar district and studied in the same school at Kalvakurthy.
The woman married another guy in 2014 and shifted to Hyderabad. The couple even have two children.
Recently, Ravi began harassing her by calling frequently expressing his love for her. When she refused to talk and blocked his contact, Ravi began blackmailing her using some morphed pictures and threatened to send it to her husband.
Demanding Rs 2,50,000 from her, Ravi called the victim at a temple in Kalwakurthy, where he dragged her into bushes and raped her.
On March 10, the woman filed a complaint with SHE Teams accusing the man of blackmailing and raping her. Police have arrested him and filed a case under the Nirbhaya Act.
