Drunk woman's negligent driving costs life of food delivery boy
A 20-year-old delivery boy was killed late on Saturday night in Hyderabad after a car rammed into his two-wheeler.
A 20-year-old delivery boy was killed late on Saturday night in Hyderabad after a car rammed into his two-wheeler.
The victim, Ramayanam Chiranjeevi who along with his friend was on his way to deliver an order was hit by a woman, allegedly drunk driving a car.
While the duo was rushed to the local hospital, Chiranjeevi succumbed to death and his friend sustained serious injuries.
Police informed that the woman, a CA student who was in an inebriated condition was driving the car in a rash and negligent manner. Due to this, she hit the scooter resulting in Chiranjeevi and his friend Saikumar falling down on the road and both received severe bleeding injuries.
While the woman too suffered minor injuries, she has been taken into custody and a case has been registered against her. Further investigation is underway.
