Mentioning that the state government had gained a partial victory over crime with additional measures being implemented to decrease the crime rate in the State, KCR said that a total review is being done on the requirement for appointing public prosecutors and assistant public prosecutors.

The Chief Minister shared that the decision to implement the Preventive Detention Act has helped in the decline of the crime rate in Hyderabad with a number of persons held under the Act ended up being convicted with information regarding their previous cases also coming forth in the questioning during their detention.

He added that the prosecutions launched by the police were resulting in convictions.
