The daughter of a Hyderabad woman has approached the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to help her mother return to India.

Stating that an agent had approached her mother with a sales girl's job with a salary of Rs 15,000 per month in Dubai, she informed that her mother visited Dubai on October 11 last year and stayed there for a month.

However, the daughter states that her mother was later shifted to Muscat in Oman and handed over to a hotel where she was made to dance at a bar when refused, was even badly beaten.

She added that her mother unable to deal with the harassment ran away from them and stayed in a church in Muscat and approached the Indian embassy on January 4 but is still stuck as her passport was with the employer.

Speaking to ANI, the woman said, "I request MEA Sushma Swaraj, Indian embassy and Telangana government to rescue my mother.”
