The deceased, identified as Mohd Salih Abdein Salih, a student of Pharmacy at Osmania University (OU) had been living in India for over four years.

His friends - Sabra, Kelvin, Sandra, Happy, Rymond, Godwin, and Yakoob were also present for the party. While Yakoob left the party at around midnight, he returned an hour later to find Salih missing. All his friends assumed Salih had decided to return home.

The neighbours noticed the body of a man lying in a pool of blood, in a quarry pit around 30 feet deep on Sunday morning and alerted the police.

According to the police, Mohammed Yakoob said that around 1 am Salih, in an inebriated condition, was searching for his bike keys.
