In a major relief for Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chief Kodandaram, the Hyderabad High Court on Monday directed the Telangana government to grant permission to TJAC to conduct a public meeting at Saroornagar Stadium on April 29 for the launch of the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS).

TJAC chief Kodandaram in his petition alleged that the police and state government was intentionally not permitting his party meetings.

The TJS had applied for permission to hold a public meeting in the Saroornagar Stadium, NTR stadium and LB Nagar stadium but the police denied permission to the party.

Kodandaram had even pointed out that a movie function was allowed at the LB Stadium last week, but his meeting was not granted permission.

Kodandaram earlier announced that he would contest in the 2019 elections and the TJS will have a formal launch on April 29.
