The Telangana state engineering agriculture and medical common entrance test (Eamcet) conducted on Wednesday witnessed a total of 44,445 students appearing for the exam.

Held across 75 exam centres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, this is the first time the Telangana EAMCET was conducted online.

However, candidates faced technical glitches at few test centres as the system collapsed and the college management called in technicians to fix the issue. Even brief power disruptions caused delay at certain centres.

Centres in Khammam, Nalgonda, and Warangal faced power cuts but the officials maintained that the test was only disrupted for a few minutes as the centres had power back-up.

The answer key for the exam will be uploaded on to the EAMCET website by May 8-9.
