Fire breaks out in Shamshabad, four trucks gutted

A major fire accident took place near Shamshabad in the wee hours on Tuesday. While no casualties have been reported, the fire caused a lot of damage at the lorry battery scrap godown at Gaganpahad.

Inside the factory, the lorry scrap material along with four lorries was completely gutted in the fire resulting in Rs 45 lakh worth property getting damaged.

Reports suggest that a short circuit might have led to the cause of the fire.

Witnessing the fire, the locals alerted the firefighters who rushed to the spot. After a struggle of few hours, the fire tenders managed to douse the flames.
