As the citizens in Hyderabad are having to deal with the unbearable heat owing to the increase in the mercury levels, India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials have brought in some respite for the public as they said that the monsoon is likely to reach the city by the first week of June.

As the citizens in Hyderabad are having to deal with the unbearable heat owing to the increase in the mercury levels, India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials have brought in some respite for the public as they said that the monsoon is likely to reach the city by the first week of June.

The IMD officials said that the monsoon would hit the Kerala coast on May 28 before reaching Hyderabad.

This week, the mercury levels were likely to hover around 40 degree Celsius to 42 degree Celsius with the maximum temperature reaching 39.7 degree Celsius on Monday while the forecast for today being 41 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperature was pegged at 28.7 degree Celsius on Monday and the reason the officials ascertained to the soaring temperature on Sunday which was recorded at 41.3 degree Celsius

However, the weekly forecast predicted the possibilities of a partly cloudy sky with thunder and lightning on Tuesday and rain or thundershowers in the evening or night.
