What is shocking is that the driver stopped the train in the outer section despite the claims of the signal authorities that a green signal was given to enter the railway station. The driver claimed that there was no signal. It is suspected that some miscreants may have cut the signal cables so that despite the signal authorities giving signals, there was red signal in the outer.

Train robberies in the Guntur-Nadikudi streatch have become very common. The authorities are investigating.
