The members of the Naayee Brahmin (barbers) associationsin Guntur district staged a dharna in front of the district cllectorate on Wednesday.
They were protesting against the disparaging comments made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on their community. Demanding that Chief Minister apologise to the barber community for the derogatory remarks, they said that Chandrababu misbehaved with them despite their pleas for a fair listening.
It was wrong to insult a community, said Nayee Brahmin Sangh president Koribilli Yesubabu.
