Undertrial prisoner ends life inside central prison in Hyderabad
A prisoner committed suicide in the Chanchalguda Central Jail here early this morning.Deputy Superintendent of Police of the jail Srinivas said the prisoner identified as Sri Hari hung himself from the ventilator in the bathroom.
An undertrial prisoner committed suicide inside the Chanchalguda central prison on Monday shocking the officials of the department.
VV Srihari, who was admitted to the prison on judicial remand on May 18, 2018, committed suicide in the early hours of Monday near a barrack in Chanchalguda Prison.
According to the officials of the prison department, Srihari had gone to the washroom during the sleep hours where he killed himself by hanging to a ventilator.
The officials immediately rushed him to Osmania General Hospital (OGH) where he was declared dead.
Earlier, Srihari was charged under IPC section 302 and 307 for beating and killing his mother and injuring his brother with an intention to kill.
Later, he was charged by the Chaderghat police under the IPC sections 467 and 511 in a property dispute case with his family members.
