Why did this MLA sleep in the graveyard?

Palacole (West Godavari) : Palacole MLA Nimmala Ramanaidu slept in the grave yard on Sunday night. He ate his food, drank his coffee and went to bed in the graveyard in Palacole.

The MLA resorted to this act because the developmental works of the cremation ground were not picking pace despite Rs 3 crore being allocated for it. The officials were lackadaisical were the labourers were wary of working in the grave yard. To alley the fears of the workers and to jolt the administration of its complacency, the MLA chose to spend a night in  the cremation ground. On Monday morning, he read newspapers and had his breakfast at the same place.

This made the officials rush to the spot with workers and take up the developmental works immediately.  He said though the funds were allocated last year, the works are yet to begin. Hence he had to take this step, he added.
