Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed officials to allocate land along with providing infrastructural facilities for a United Arab Emirates (UAE) Consulate to be set up in Hyderabad.

KCR recently held discussions in this regard with Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of UAE, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Chief Minister told the UAE Minister at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday that the move will strengthen the relationship between the state government and UAE.

The Minister was also briefed regarding the initiatives taken up by the Telangana government including the industrial policy, development on social aspects, education, medicine and establishment of infrastructure besides emerging as a prosperous state.

KCR elaborated on Telangana become a destination for medical tourism with people various countries opting for medical treatment in the state.
