Kerala has just witnessed the worst floods in nearly a century. The intensity of rains has just decreased in Kerala but the state is still struggling under the repercussions as thousands are stranded in their homes with no food and sheaths of water around them at various places.

So far, more than 320 people have lost their lives and over six lakh people are in relief camps across the state.

Relief operations have been scaled up by the Army personnel, along with Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and the NDRF in the wake of this emergency situation in Kerala and are evacuating the distressed all over the state.

While the Narendra Modi government has already sanctioned an immediate assistance of Rs 500 crore for rain-savaged Kerala, the Telangana government is coming forward with assistance as well. Having already announced Rs 25 crore as financial aid and dispatching 100-tonne food, now, the state MPs also have joined the cause as they decided to donate their one month salary to Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund.

In this regard, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali on Sunday spoke to the media announcing that he will donate his one month salary to Kerala Floods relief.
