Several civil society organizations have strongly decried the wrongful portrayal of the Rayalaseema region. Representatives of a number of student and people’s organizations have slammed Telugu film director Trivikram Srinivas for the distortion of Rayalaseema culture in his latest release ‘Aravinda Sametha.’

They said several scenes in the movie were highly objectionable and the image of Rayalaseema was tarnished by highlighting the non-existant factionism.

Addressing a press conference at the Hyderabad Press Club, they demanded that the objectionable scenes and the dialogues should be deleted from the film and the director should apologise to the people of the Rayalaseema. They threatened to stall the exhibition of the film if these scenes and dialogues were not removed immediately.
