Congress party activists alleged that BJP activists attacked MLA Vamshi Chander Reddy here, in Amangal. The MLA was rushed to the hospital immediately after he lost consciousness and fainted. BJP activists denied all allegations.

In Kodangal, a large group of citizens who said to have voted last year started protesting in front of the Tahsildar's office saying they are being denied their right to vote since their names are missing from the list. The group has now increased to a large one, and is growing impatient.
