Planning a vacation? You need to get your backpacks ready to start the trail, but make sure your skin care products hold the highest priority on your travel list. You do not want to get back from a trip looking haggard, horribly tanned and in need of a beauty makeover.

Planning a vacation? You need to get your backpacks ready to start the trail, but make sure your skin care products hold the highest priority on your travel list. You do not want to get back from a trip looking haggard, horribly tanned and in need of a beauty makeover.

Vacations are soothing, however, it does get us so excited about the adventure it holds that we often tend to give less chance for our routine skin care to go just the way we do at home. We have come up with some really useful tricks and tips that will surely make your trip worth all the planning and your skin worth praising.

  • If travelling by air, do make sure you keep a moisturiser handy and do apply it liberally before your flight as an airplane journey does tend to steal the skin of its moisture and suppleness.
  • Carry a good face wash and a cleanser with you, holidays mean a lot of gallivanting and exploring a new place. The last thing you want is that your face looks sticky and oily in those pictures you take at a shopping mall or restaurant.
  • Make a box of travel essential that has your sunscreen lotion, face wash, cleanser, toner, band-aid, calamine lotion, an insect repellent, lip balm, make-up remover, face wipes, waterproof mascara, a bronzer, a peach or orange blusher, a pink and carrot red lipstick.
  • Always apply a generous amount of sunscreen lotion on your face, arms, legs and any other body part that is exposed to direct sun. Do make sure you wear your sunscreen at least 20 minutes before you head out.
  • Always use a night cream before sleeping, no matter what time you get back from a party or dinner, you will wake up looking fresh and all set for a new adventure.
  • Skip out on using a foundation, rather, keep a BB Cream handy. It would work just right for a day visit to a museum or sightseeing and even for a fun evening party.
  • Irrespective of weather or place, national or international, do not drain out yourself and always drink a lot of water to keep your skin hydrated at all times.
  • Try not experimenting with new skin care products. Carry the ones that you use at home. The last thing you need is an acne breakout or an itchy rash while you are travelling.

A vacation does not mean that you let go of your skin care just the way you took a break from your work. You need to make sure you always care for your skin, especially while going out. No matter if it is a beach, or a hill station, these basics are bound to help you anywhere you go. Happy travels!!!
